Shift Happens

I’m so glad you’re here

You’re probably wondering how I came to do this kind of work? Well, it’s in my blood. As a teenager I learned how to sew and used my newfound skills to decorate my room. It became my sanctuary.

After leaving home, everywhere I lived offered a new place to experiment and hone my skills. As they say “Home is where the heart is.” and I wanted my spaces to be inviting and reflect my quirkiness. I didn’t have a lot of money to spend, so I got creative. This meant seeing beauty in things that needed some love. Still to this day, I can be found thrifting, sewing slip covers for vintage couches, painting and refurbishing new to me items. I have a can do attitude and vision, which makes so much possible. Usually, my handy husband can be found support me and my many ideas.

Later, I was involved in building a house and various renovations. As I got older, I learned to trust my quirkiness and use it (which I made wrong) to help friends shift the energy in their spaces by moving furniture and decluttering.

In 2014, we moved to Vancouver Island, where I later met one of the top realtors - Susan Forrest and her team. We clicked. This beautiful lady saw me and was able to appreciate my gifts. I could often be found helping overwhelmed clients get their homes ready for sale. This would generally include, decluttering, moving furniture, packing items away, arranging trades people and cleaners and sometimes an estate sale. I loved working with her and her team. They are the absolute best!
